The position at IMT Nord Europe is for a tenure-track faculty member in Software for Mobile Robotics, emphasizing teaching, research, and software architecture development for mobile autonomous multi-robot systems.
The position involves collaborating with other professors and assistant professors working on:
- modular and distributed architectures for robot control,
- cooperation and coordination of multi-robot systems.
Targeted applications require the use of fleets of autonomous mobile robots that carry out patrols or mapping missions with in-situ measurements. The preferred domain is that of supervising natural environments. The goal is to study, prevent, anticipate, and address events of human origin such as pollution or natural events such as extreme weather phenomena.
Responsibilities include interdisciplinary collaboration, student supervision, and enhancing the institution’s academic and industrial partnerships. Candidates should have a PhD in computer science, with a focus on mobile and autonomous robotic systems, excellent communication, and teamwork skills.
